The following 21 points represent the official doctrinal views of Maiden Chapel Baptist Church:

  1. THE BIBLE
    We believe the Bible is God-inspired
    2 Timothy 3:16, 17
    We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
    Corinthians 13:14
     

  2. THE FALL OF MAN
    Man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection
    Romans 5:12
     

  3. THE PLAN OF REDEMPTION
    While we were still sinners Christ died for us, purchasing a pardon for all who believe in Him
    John 3:16; Romans 5:8
     

  4. SALVATION THROUGH GRACE
    We have no righteousness of our own and must come to God through Jesus Christ
    Ephesians 2:8
     

  5. REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS
    Upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Jesus we are justified before God
    I John 1:9
     

  6. THE NEW BIRTH
    A very real change takes place in the life of those who accept Jesus as   their Savior
    2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20
     

  7. DAILY CHRISTIAN LIFE
    Each new day God brings new opportunities to grow in our relationship with Him

  8. BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
    Baptism by immersion is an outward sigh of an inward work
    Mathew 28:19
    Communion is the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolical use of bread and juice
    I Corinthians 11:24, 25
     

  9. BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
    The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to fill the believer with power to live a Christian life. Spirit baptism is after the same manner as in Bible days.

  10. THE SPIRIT FILLED LIFE
    It is the will of God that our lives exemplify the life-changing work of the Holy Spirit
    Ephesians 4:30-32
     

  11. THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
    The Holy Spirit has gifts to give all Christians: we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life
    I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22
     

  12. MODERATION
    The experience and daily walk of a Christian should never lead them into extremes and fanaticism
    Philippians 4:5
     

  13. DIVINE HEALING
    The power of God can heal the sick
    James 5:14-16
     

  14. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
    Christ will return one day to establish His kingdom and judge all creation

  15. CHURCH RELATIONSHIP
    Jesus asks us to support each other and to identify ourselves as Christians
    Acts 16:5: Hebrews 10:25
     

  16. CIVIL GOVERMENT
    Civil laws and governments should be upheld at all times except in things opposed to the will of God
    Romans 13:1-5
     

  17. THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
    One day we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God; and there receive eternal life or death
    2 Corinthians 5:10
     

  18. HEAVEN
    Heaven is the glorious eternal home for all who believe Jesus Christ.
    Jn. 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17
     

  19. HELL
    Hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Jesus Christ.
    Revelation 20:10, 15
     

  20. EVANGELISM
    Telling non-Christians about Jesus is both a priviledge and a command and we believe that soul winning is the most important responsibility of the Church

  21. TITHES AND OFFERINGS
    We believe that the method ordained of God for the support and the spread of His cause is by giving of tithes and free- will offering
    Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7
